Subject: Toyo-Versado vs Sumitomo
September 21, 2009 - I am having a hard time deciding which tires to get for my 2006 ES330 Lexus. I have 32,000miles and would like smooth tires low noise,lasting tread wear. cant decide between a Toyo Versado or a Sumitomo Tires. 215-55-17R
Hi Lisa. The Toyo Versado is the top of the line tire that Toyo Tire builds specifically for original equipment applications. It is a very quiet tire with an excellent tread wear warranty. i have no idea what a comparable tire in the Sumitomo line would be, that would even be close to the Versado for overall performance. The tire that you purchase should be at least V rated to compare to the OE tire that you currently have on your vehicle. Thank you for your question.

Hello Amanda. Not necessarily. A more expensive tire, whether it is Toyo or any other tire in this class of product would generally give you a better ride and better handling characteristics than a less expensive tire, but better gas mileage, i'm not sure.

Subject: replace rv tires
August 15, 2009 - We have a ten year class a rv and are wondering when to replace tires. They appear to be in good condition. The mileage is approx. 36,000. I am afraid a tire dealer will say "change" right away and while I want the safety to be first I also know it run around $1800.00. Any ideas?
Hello Karen. The mileage on an RV is not the guide to replacement. It is the 10 years that these tires have been in service that i would be very concerned with. I would contact my local Tire Dealer and let him look at the tires for cracking and general overall serviceability before i would continue to drive on them. Safety is your first consideration under these circumstances and your local Tire Dealer can advise you accordingly.

Subject: BMW locked doors
July 12, 2009 - My 1992 735IL Beemer's battery drained during transportation. The doors were locked in transport. We had to call AAA to unlock the car to jump start. We also replaced the battery in the process. Why are the door locks impossible to open with just a key in this situation? Thanks

May 20, 2009 - i have a 2005 nissan sentra with original 195/55/16 would is ok to put 205 /50/16 o what you recomend
Hello Luis. A 205/50-16 will work on your vehicle, but its outside dimension is 24.1 versus 24.4 on your original equipment tire. A 215/50-16 would be a better fitment, since its outside diameter is 24.5, which is much closer to the OE tire size.
